This is my first make using fabric from our new bespoke Ikat collection. Having three designs to pick from I've had a little trouble deciding which one to start on first! This top is from a favourite sewing book of mine called Lotte Jansdotter Everyday Style which has lots of lovely simple sewing patterns and includes inspiring 'look book' style photography. The Kiomi top comes as a dress too and is quite an A line, floaty shape. I made one in linen last summer and I've worn it loads. My favourite feature is the neck binding which has an unusual assembly method but is perfect for...

I've been deliberating over sewing patterns to sew up with our new Faberwood Ikat fabric. Handloom fabrics due to their relaxed and natural weave are fabulous and comfortable to wear in any season. They also tend to 'settle' in once sewn up and washed into a stylish garment featuring that light slub style with a worn in look. I've had the Hudson Pant sewing pattern printed and cut out for around two years! I suppose I'm not really a sweat pant wearing person but I liked the style of these and thought they looked fun to make. Decided our Tellta fabric was ideal, outdoor vibes and chilling in the woods.
Modelled here by my daughter Amber, they're possibly a little big for her but she wore them for the rest of the day saying they are the comfiest ever. I think she will keep them!

I love sewing with Finland knits, they are so well made and tend not to stretch out due to the good amount of elastane in them. This fabric Monochrome Straws form our collection is organic jersey from Finnish design brand Papu Stories. Here I made the classic Lark Tee sewing pattern by Grainline Studio (one of my favourite pattern designers). This version is a short sleeved crew neck, perfect to wear with jeans. Shortening this by 3 inches was my only alteration, I find this pattern quite long for me. Really happy with the result.
