It's time to start planning for Spring and Summer! This soft and light fabric feels like a breath of fresh air. Made by Hokkoh (the same brand that brings us all those beautiful floral corduroys we know and love) it's the perfect way to banish those Winter blues.

I'm always impressed by how Japan produces these amazing textiles, at first I thought it was pure cotton, but on handling, you start to feel how the linen adds a touch of weight that affects the drape. The abstract brushed patterns on a natural oatmeal base, broken up with that punch of cobalt blue. I love this design, it reminds me of a carnival or a fiesta pattern dancing in the wind!

As I played around with it the fabric started to relax which is how I think it would behave when being worn. This got me imagining a comfy dress to wear in the heat, something you wouldn't bother ironing. Yep, this is my perfect shabby summer wardrobe where you embrace the creasing.

I highly recommend finishing those edges before pre-washing, you wouldn't want to lose any of this beautiful fabric.
