Part of my double discovery of African fabrics is this very contemporary cotton wax print in the most beautiful blues and stone colour. I’m thinking of famous textile designers when I look at this but it’s so much better, undiscovered and natural without trying too hard. This genuine African wax print carries the printed label of authenticity, printed in Ghana and calendared by ‘hot iron’ machines giving it a lush sheen finish. This is a process unique to this style of fabric which will soften into a matt soft cotton. We only have 5 meters of this, I’m nearly crying as I say it but it’s all I could get! Traditional to modern in one unbelievable swoop, this is my gem in our current collection!
