I searched for something a little more traditional from India and I think I've found it. A dreamy, soft and lightweight cotton print featuring a stunning repeat of pretty star floral shapes. These block prints only come in limited amounts so the styles are rarely repeated. The family-run textile businesses in India produce unique one-off designs using all plant-based dyes. Dried by the heat of the sun, these textiles produce colours have a different edge to a more commercially produced print, for instance, the black has a dark chocolate tone to it. This fabulous earthy shade of deep gold sits beautifully with this design.
Indian block prints are a stylish statement all on their own, I would sew something simple like a sleeveless top, worn with denim but still feeling like you've made an effort but would also look fabulous as a dress too!
