A lovely and unusual take on an 'animal print' type of design, a pattern repeat that you really need a whole metre to fully appreciate it. Taken from a collection designed by Aime Comme Marie, her creations are so fresh and appealing. The mix of polyester and cotton has been produced to a very high standard giving a 'percale' feel and a soft smooth drape with less crease, the blues are stunning, especially in the sun light. At first appearance this fabric is very dark so the pattern is subtle, which I love, I've tried to show in my photographs the richness and quality of this dark marine blue. With beautiful print quality this fabric has been made in a traditional textile factory in France using Oeko Tex certified inks (tests for harmful chemicals) I really must come up with a project to use this, all of a sudden I need animal print somewhere in my life!
