It's such a joy to finally adding block printed fabric to the collection! I've been searching for ages to find something unique and this is definitely one of a kind. This fabric has been printed by hand in India using traditional methods and natural dyes, the blue rough lines pattern repeat is so natural, showing lovely blue shades on an off white base. There's also a fantastic border along one edge (which, by the way, I will be looking to included in a finished sewn piece). I don't think it matters which way the lines go, I couldn't decide! We went to the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield to photograph this, immersing ourselves in the exotic atmosphere, it was perfect. I love that this fabric is traditional and modern all at once, such a fabulous piece that would suit tunics or shirts.
